Awesome tutorial! :-)
I might be wrong but.....is this drawing in the end Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones riding on one of Daennerys's Dragons?! (I like Game of Thrones, but my mum says I'm too young to watch it.. she's a big fan though:-) )

Hehe thx :) Yes it is Tyrion riding Dani's dragon, Drogon and I have to give your mother right, the show is definetly for adults - not because of all the sex and blood but also because of the complicated storyline :3

Oh man these tutorials are so cool. It was really nice to look through your gallery again
I really love your creativity and how you explain your process to logically come up with new, unique, but harmonious shape designs. I will definitely be trying to exercise more creativity in my designs too.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think 'mix and match animal parts' is a good approach to be teaching people. It just really confuses me that you do a great job in your tutorials of explaining anatomical benefits like the extra skin on the ears or specific realisms in teeth, but then in this tutorial (which is more basic than the next) you say "You don't have to be accurate".

I just think it's important when messing with bones to realize that bones can't do anything without muscles and muscles are one of the most important things when defining form and function. Allosaurus and mammals have two completely, totally, fundamentally different mechanisms used to move their face/mouth, etc.

With the design created by your allosaurus/tiger/wolf skull, the dragon can't possibly open his mouth any further than it is now without hitting his own jaw (which is useless bone anyway since no muscles would attach to it) on the back of his head. And also the muscles that close the mouth would attach to. .  the eyeballs ):

wow
This is great! I'm thankful for you to give me this very good criticism :)

Just keep in mind that I'm not used to teach or make tutorials :p I'm still trying to figure out the process to make others understand stuff that I know and use it for their own good.... If that makes sense n__n

I actually did think of how the muscles would be attached when I mixed together the skull but I didn't want to add too much work and therefore chose to leave it out...
I really appreciate your thought on my "mix and match" approach and I hope that people will read your comment ;)
If I make an anatomy theory tutorial (or have a section of anatomy in my future tutorials), I'll like to think of your comment and do a better thorough explanation of bones and muscle theory.

Gosh I can't believe you took the time to write this for me... You have been my fave dragon artist for so many years! :D
Thank you, Shin!

Oh gosh you're welcome beb. I'm awful at teaching how to draw so I don't even bother trying to make tutorials. xD It's really difficult to teach how to do something without flat out going into 'anatomy course' for me, so I just spare people.

The best part of this tut though is how you give people options; like depending on what kind of learner they are. I plan on following your next tutorials. ♥

Another great work :)
Just one thing from me - in the "random silhouettes" drawings the 2'nd and 3'rd one would have... a bit of difficulties when trying to eat anything...
Myself I prefer realistic dragons (well, as realistic as fantasy creature can be) and I'm fighting for my cause ^^

I see :) I imagine them grapping with their tongues and eat up things by turning their heads sideways...It was just show how to accomplish some interesting shapes (^_^) But I get your point. Thank you!

If you have a copy machine you can just use that to take copies of your sketches or clean-up drawing and draw on top of them :) That's what I did in an assignment when we had to add values (light and shadows) It's a really good idea plus then you don't mess up your original artwork ;)
