TUTORIAL: Fur for Dragons by SammyTorres TUTORIAL: Fur for Dragons by SammyTorres
Sorry for the long wait :P
To be honest I don't draw furry dragons that often so that's why it's kinda short :T I hope that it'll be useful to you anyway  n__n

Next tutorial will be about feathers for dragons and you should probably expect it to be short too :T I just really want to be done with feathers so I can move on to expressions for dragons :D
Anyway, if there's anything I didn't bring up or if anything was incorrect please write it in the comments so that everyone knows :D (Big Grin)

Feathers, scales, and hair are all made of same thing, they're just shaped differently. There are already mammals with scales, so it's acceptable for there to be reptiles with hair.

Of course, no one ever said that all dragons must be reptiles.

I find that hilarious, actually. Where I live, when someone asks you how you are doing, you can respond with an expression that goes "I'm as fine as a frog hair split three ways." It's a reference to the fact that even if frogs had hair, it would be very, very fine.

Also, I looked up that frog, and sadly, it actually doesn't have hair. The Hairy Frog has dermal papillae that resemble hair, but are biologically more like a catfish's whiskers. It is theorized that these papillae are used to increase the surface area of the frog's skin, improving its ability to breathe in certain conditions.
